AURÉLIA Émeraude
Emerald-green alligator leather & midnight blue suede — gold-tone jewelry clasp
The Art of Detail, Excellence in Craftsmanship
The AURÉLIA Émeraude bag combines the depth of green alligator leather with the softness of midnight blue suede. Its hand-polished “A” clasp, set with semi-precious stones, embodies the House’s signature: timeless elegance, precision, and a passion for beauty.
The Story ofAURÉLIA Émeraude
Born from a sketch discovered in the archivesof Éléonore A., the brand’s founder in 1956, AURÉLIA reimagines an architectural silhouette inspired by Parisian rooftops and the golden light of the Seine at dusk.
A Renewed Sense of Inspiration
Rediscovered by Alexandre and Livia A., the original drawing revealed a structured, graphic, and sensual form. They turned it into a manifesto: to unite tradition and modernity in an object designed to last and be passed down through the generations.
Leathercraft: A Living Heritage
The leather comes from a family-run tannery on the shores of Lake Kariba. Using traditional vegetable tanning methods, hand-selected hides, and an “Émeraude Parisien” dye developed after numerous trials: a vibrant material that develops a beautiful patina over time.
The gold clasp, a symbol of ascension
Designed by Livia, who trained at Place Vendôme, the A-shaped clasp is cast, polished, and then set with malachite. It embodies the House’s values: Ascension, Craftsmanship, and a Love of the Craft.
40 hours of art and precision
Cut with a scalpel, sewn using waxed linen thread in the saddler’s stitch, and edges polished with beeswax: it takes more than 40 hours to complete a single piece, in accordance with the highest standards of French leather craftsmanship.
“Creating AURÉLIA means capturing an emotion in a material form. It means creating a dialogue between light and the human hand.”
— Livia A., artistic director
